Outstanding still life painting by realist Sue Krzyston is recognized

We are proud to add another accolade to the biography of Arizona artist Sue Krzyston whose work was recognized with the prestigious award from Western Art and Architecture at the American Women Artists: Expanding Horizons Juried Exhibition at the Loveland Museum in Colorado. This magazine's content provides art collectors and architecture aficionados with exceptional achievements in these related realms and the artwork by Sue Krzyston certainly represents some of the best. As stated by the organization, "Since its inception, American Women Artists has worked diligently to bring women artists to the attention of the art world through museum shows, juried competitions in leading galleries around the country, symposiums, workshops, and international travel and exhibitions."

Mountain Trails Gallery is also proud to exhibition the colorful still life paintings that capture the treasures and artifacts of multiple tribes and pueblos that have caught the eye of Sue Krzyston over the years from museum collections as well as from her own collector's items. The unique aspects of a painting by this self-taught artist include the extraordinary chiaroscuro of a warm and guiding light that leads the eye all around the dramatically lit composition, as well as the raised texture of each luminous bead, and the seemingly tactile surface quality of pottery, soft fibrous textiles, and other complex objects.
