Contemporary landscape artist Gregory Stocks has been honored at the 54th Annual Mountain Oyster Club's Western Art Show with their 'Goodman Award for a First Time Participating Artist' as also noted in Art of the West magazine's news Mountain Oyster Club Announces Award Winners.
From more than 200 participating artists, Gregory Stocks stands out for his remarkable combination of classical representation and contemporary execution. The rhythmic brush strokes as he builds the landscape’s subtle architectural-like structure with bold as well as nuances of color capture his fascination with the beauty of Arizona. Exploring the variety of opportunities presented in his home state of Arizona continues to keep this award-winning artist out in the elements, capturing as many of nature’s events as possible.
